Binh Dinh holds the densest surviving group of Cham brick towers in Vietnam, left from the five centuries when Vijaya was the capital of Champa. They run from the Twin Towers, which now stand in a residential street in Quy Nhon, to Duong Long out among the sugarcane in Tay Son, whose central tower is the tallest brick tower in South-East Asia at close to 40 metres.

Cultural & Heritage Story
The towers were laid up in fired brick with almost no visible mortar, and how the Cham bonded them is still argued over. At Duong Long the corners and doorframes are finished in carved stone — makara, garuda, dancers — a late style that shows how much Khmer contact there was by the twelfth century.

Two Towers Are In Town
Twin Towers is a short taxi ride inside Quy Nhon and takes half an hour. Duong Long and Canh Tien are 30–50 km inland and need a car.
