Tour Description

This coast was the capital of the Champa kingdom from the 10th to the 16th century, and its brick towers still stand where the Cham built them. This 100km loop takes in four of them — Canh Tien, Duong Long, Banh It and the Twin Towers — and the remains of Do Ban citadel between. Binh Dinh served as the capital of the Kingdom of Champa from the 10th to the 16th century, preserving invaluable cultural relics that withstand the test of time. The remnants of parapets, outer walls, and resilient moss-covered towers bear witness to the rich cultural artistry of that golden era. The ancient Cham capital of Do Ban (1000-1471), situated 26km from Qui Nhon, boasts numerous towers, some of which were designated as national historical-cultural relics in 1980. Remarkably, these towers are comparable to iconic structures such as Angkor in Cambodia, Ayutthaya in Thailand, and Borobudur in Indonesia. Today, Cham towers stand proudly, displaying their red brick structures and sanctuaries.

Included Activities

10:30 Duong Long Tower: A group of three Cham towers (22-24m high), one of the most beautiful in Central Vietnam. The towers are adorned with lively and mysterious animal decorative motifs, with the largest one embellished with granite ornamentation representing Naga and elephants.
Have lunch at restaurant
14h00: Canh Tien Tower: Built in the 12th century, it is located in the middle of the Do Ban citadel of the Cham people. Its structure includes a front hall and shrine, with outer walls decorated with pilasters and vertical, protruding frames. Unlike other Cham towers, Canh Tien Tower has four floors, diminishing towards the top. Notably, the pilasters and edges of the roofs are constructed of sandstone, and stone motifs of phoenix tails adorn the four corners of each tower's story, creating the illusion of fairy wings reaching towards the sky.
16:00 Twin Towers: Built at the end of the 12th century, comprising two towers. The main tower is 20m high, and the minor one is about 18m high. Icons of the bird god Garuda adorn the outer walls, corners, and the top of the towers, raising both wings to lift the roof. The top vault of the door is raised like arrows.
17:00: Return to the hotel. Finish a fantastic day tour.
