Forty-five kilometres inland to Tay Son, birthplace of Emperor Quang Trung and of the martial art that still carries the region's name. The museum keeps the family's original well and tamarind tree, and the troupe performs vo Tay Son and the twelve-drum set the way it has been taught here for two centuries. Tay Son is the homeland of the national hero Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue, one of three brothers who led the Tay Son Insurrection. In 1783, he led his troops to defeat the Siamese invaders at Rach Gam and Xoai Mut in the South. In 1788, they defeated 290,000 Qing invaders, taking only 35 days to reach Hanoi. He declared himself Emperor Quang Trung in the same year. When visiting the Quang Trung museum, you can enjoy wardrum performances and Vo Tay Son demonstrations, a traditional martial art of Binh Dinh. Nowadays, Binh Dinh hosts the "Binh Dinh International Martial Arts Festival" every two years in August. It has attracted many martial arts masters from all over the world. This excursion offers an immersive experience where you can interact about the basics of martial arts at some martial arts clubs.

08:00 The tour guide will pick you up at the hotel, to depart for Tay Son District.. You'll visit the Quang Trung Museum and witness a martial arts performance at Tay Son Palace, a place where people preserve their pride, respect, and faith in the three brothers of Tay Son. While small, Tay Son Palace has a solemn and sacred atmosphere. In front of the yard are Tam Quan Gate, followed by the stone stele recording the glorious achievements of Quang Trung Nguyen Hue's movements. The main room of the palace has three sections: the middle section worships Quang Trung-Nguyen Hue, the left section worships Nguyen Nhac, and the right section worships the third brother Nguyen Lu. The palace was built on the former house site of the three leaders of Tay Son and is also a place for worshipping their parents, who rose up in arms and became pre-eminent leaders of farmers and the nation in the late 18th century. Nowadays, there are two precious vestiges-an ancient tamarind tree and an old well-that are said to have existed during their time.
